Lewis brings 25 years of leadership experience in the public and private sectors to his new role. The new Leidos executive is adept at providing strategic and tactical approaches to business objectives. He also has a proven track record of identifying and guiding future leaders in the field of cybersecurity.
The executive previously served as chief information security officer and director of the Cybersecurity Program Office at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC. Prior to that, he was director of cyber assessment strategy at the Department of Energy.
Lewis spent over a decade at the Army Installation Management Command most recently serving as the chief of the systems support division. He was also the sustainment branch chief, senior systems administrator and education and training manager.
The Leidos executive served in the U.S. Marine Corps for over seven years, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He was also part of the academe, briefly teaching cybersecurity at New York University in 2022 and information technology at Northeast Lakeview College from 2012 to 2014.
Aside from his new VP role, Lewis is currently a government adviser and board member of the American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council.
