Joe Bogosian, former project lead for Safran Defense USA, was appointed president and CEO of the U.S.-based defense and space business of the French multinational aerospace and defense company Safran, according to his LinkedIn post.
Bogosian has been with Safran for over 15 years, initially serving as president and CEO of its U.S. business and then assuming other leadership roles. In his most recent post, he led Safran HQ and Safran Electronics & Defense initiative to enhance the company’s U.S. posture and profile. He now serves as president and chief executive of Safran Defense & Space.
Prior to joining Safran, the executive was with the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration working as assistant administrator for international aviation.
His career also includes time at the Department of Commerce as deputy assistant secretary for manufacturing, McGuireWoods Consulting as vice president and House of Representatives as legislative aide.
