Jimmy Viescas, a 14-year government contracting industry veteran and former director of finance at Octo Consulting Group, has been named chief financial officer of Alexandria, Virginia-based security services provider SGI Global.
SGI Global said Wednesday he will be responsible for the company’s accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, planning and analysis and investor relations functions in his new position.
“Jimmy is an accomplished professional and a proven leader who brings significant financial and operational expertise to our company, ” said Nancy St. Louis, SGI Global chief operating officer.
Viescas previously held a nine-year career at General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business, where he oversaw the unit’s corporate business analysis and compliance, internal audit and program financial controls activities.
Earlier in his career, he worked as an auditor at the Defense Contract Audit Agency and at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
