Jim Kenney, senior director of finance at HightPoint Digital since January, has been promoted to the chief financial officer position at the Herndon, Virginia-headquartered information technology company.
He will report directly to HighPoint President Jay Jones and manage the overall financial and accounting operations and strategy for the company’s digital and customer experience portfolio, HighPoint said Wednesday.
“His extensive knowledge and expertise managing strategic financial operations will be key to achieving our long term-business objectives,” commented Jones about the new CFO.
Kenney brings to the role more than two decades of experience in financial operations, business management and strategic planning supporting defense and civilian customers.
He joined HighPoint in 2020 as the director of financial planning and analysis, and was elevated to the senior director role after three years.
Throughout his career, Kenney held various senior-level positions at Mitre, Unisys and other companies.
