He will bring to the role over a decade of cybersecurity experience and help CyberSheath expand its client base and further build up the federal government’s supply chain, the company said Wednesday.
CyberSheath CEO Eric Noonan said Mares’ experience and background will be key in helping federal contractors seeking to comply with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.
Mares previously served as sales director at Redspin, which became the first certified third-party assessment organization in the CMMC marketplace after passing the CMMC Maturity Level 3 certification. In this capacity, he formed channels within the defense industrial base and developed a service line covering CMMC compliance services.
He also held sales and business development roles at Sikich, Paychex, ServiceMaster and Countrywide Mortgage Lending.
