TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 14, 2020 — Jennifer Chronis, general manager of Amazon Web Services' Department of Defense business, said the U.S. Navy can manage financial data on goods and parts in a single accessible space after moving its enterprise resource planning system to the AWS GovCloud, ExecutiveBiz reported July 6.
Chronis noted in an interview posted June 30 the branch was able to complete the ERP cloud migration project in less than 10 months, about half the time that it previously estimated.
She added that the cloud-based Navy ERP infrastructure also supports decision-making, customer experience, security and disaster recovery areas.
