Jeffrey Berson, current chief investment officer at QTS (NYSE: QTS) chief investment officer, will serve as the company’s chief financial officer beginning April 3, 2017 as part of QTS’ approach to C-level succession planning.
QTS said Tuesday Berson will succeed Bill Schafer, who will transition to a new role as the data center services provider’s executive vice president of finance and accounting.
“Jeff has earned an excellent reputation in the external financial community and within QTS,” said Chad Williams, QTS chairman and CEO.
“His extensive background across the data center industry will continue to support QTS’ strategic objectives and focus on value-enhancing capital allocation.”
Williams also noted that Berson and Schafer have fostered a partnership that will continue to help the company navigate its expansion efforts.
