  • His career includes leadership roles at Serco and SRA International

Jason Adolf has been named senior vice president of public sector customer success at Appian, moving into the role after a decade with the company.

In a LinkedIn post published Thursday, Adolf said he will work with Appian customers and partners to help guarantee the company delivers on its commitments and missions.

Who Is Jason Adolf?

Adolf is a digital transformation executive who has worked with government, defense, healthcare and international clients. His career of more than 20 years covers business process management, technical strategy, business development and complex IT system deployment.

He has also spoken at industry events about process innovation, adoption of artificial intelligence and government modernization.

What Roles Has Adolf Held at Appian?

Adolf most recently served as vice president of global public sector at Appian. In that role, he led the company’s initiatives and go-to-market strategies and supported clients on five continents. In a 2024 ExecutiveBiz interview, he said his responsibilities included setting strategy for the IT marketplace and advising customers and partners on technology investments. He discussed how AI could help government agencies move beyond process optimization toward more fundamental process innovation, including in areas such as disability claims processing.

Adolf joined Appian in 2016 as an industry practice leader for federal business.

What Did Adolf Do Before Appian?

Adolf spent nearly six years at Serco, where he became director of business solutions and services and director of the business process practice area. Before Serco, he spent more than eight years at SRA International. His roles there included business process management practice lead and project manager for a business process automation project.

What Are Appian’s Recent Developments?

Adolf’s appointment follows recent Appian activity in the public sector. In June, Appian released findings from a survey of 2,000 U.S. public sector workers showing that 37 percent described their agency’s AI integration as advanced, while 32 percent said AI deployment was developing.

Commenting on the survey, Adolf said the “greatest opportunities for AI will come from connecting it to the processes that drive mission outcomes.”

In January, the Army awarded Appian a 10-year enterprise agreement with a ceiling of $500 million for Appian Platform licenses, maintenance, support services and cloud services. Appian Defense Cloud also received conditional authorization to operate in an Impact Level 5 environment.
