James Perea, formerly manager of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services division at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has been promoted to VP of Veterans Affairs health solutions, FedhealthIT reported Friday.
He started his career with Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and joined Leidos when SAIC split into two independent, publicly traded companies in September 2013.
In his more recent capacity, Perea led the division within Leidos’ health group that provides information technology services to CMS in areas such as data analytics, tech insertion and end-user support
He previously managed a portfolio of infrastructure protection and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear security services of the company.
Perea spent nearly seven years at SAIC, where he oversaw projects for defense, intelligence and homeland security customers.
