Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has promoted 33-year company veteran James Etheredge to the position of group chief executive for North America in a move slated to take effect Sept. 1.

He previously led the company’s products operating unit in North America and has been a member of the leadership team in that region for 10 years.
Marty Rodgers, managing director for the Washington D.C. metro office of Accenture, will succeed Etheredge as head of southeastern operations and continue to serve in his current position.
