TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 1, 2018 Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has collaborated with NASA to complete a series of tests on a parachute system that will be used for the Orion spacecraft’s re-entry into Earth upon the conclusion of its mission, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said Thursday the team conducted the last qualification trial on the Capsule Parachute Assembly System at the Army Proving Ground in Arizona, where a C-17 aircraft flying at 35K feet dropped a test Orion capsule carried by the parachute system for a slow descent to the ground.
