Steven Earls, former senior vice president and deputy chief information security officer at Fifth and Third Bank, has joined Ntrepid Corp. as vice president of information security strategy.
Ntrepid said Monday he brings more than two decades of commercial and government information technology experience to his new role and will oversee the company’s business strategy around its browser security product Passages and future cybersecurity offerings.
[Earls] experience will enable us to expand our investments in future innovative cyber products, ” Ntrepid CEO Richard Helms said.
Earls previously served as a cybersecurity architect and cyber chief technology officer at the CIA, where he helped to stand up the agency’s Government Cyber Blue Team.
Before CIA, he worked on the deployment of intrusion detection, prevention systems and Honeypots.
