Lisuzzo has more than 35 years of industry and government experience and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Ironwave, the company said Friday.
His appointment to the president and COO roles came less than three months after he joined the advisory board at the Manassas, Virginia-based radio frequency technology supplier.
He most recently served as an executive vice president at Shipcom Wireless and managed the software provider’s federal subsidiary.
Lisuzzo previously held leadership positions at Joint Research and Development, Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and L-3 Communications.
Prior to joining the private sector, he was director in the intelligence and information warfare directorate at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center for 10 years.
