Wajsgras, a seven-time Wash100 Award recipient, was honored for his demonstrated commitment to advancing satellite communications technology to promote global connectivity between people and institutions.
This win marks his first since joining Intelsat as CEO in April of last year. Since assuming this role, he has expanded the company’s executive team with four new aerospace and technology leaders to drive its strategy forward.
A testament to his passion for innovation, Wajsgras spearheaded a number of initiatives to progress the use of emerging technologies over the past year, including an effort to upgrade a $2 billion unified network using 5G and software-defined tools, the deployment of Intelsat’s new cloud offering and the reallocation of the company’s C-band spectrum through the launch of two satellites.
