A Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) executive says Sue Gordon, former principal deputy director of national intelligence and two-time Wash100 awardee, will join the company in a consulting role.
Tom Burt, corporate vice president of customer security and trust at Microsoft, wrote in a Twitter post Friday that Gordon will provide input on matters related to national security, leadership and security.
In her previous capacity, Gordon helped the DNI drive intelligence integration and establish partnerships across the intelligence community. She left the Office of the DNI in August 2019 after three decades of public service.
She previously served as deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and spent 27 years at the CIA in various roles of increasing responsibility.
Gordon is the founder of Gordon Ventures and a recipient of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance’s 2020 William Oliver Baker Award. She serves as a part-time adviser for Washington, D.C-based advisory firm Pallas Advisors.
