TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 5, 2016 A workforce diversity report by Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) indicates that the company has worked to increase its employment of women and underrepresented minorities over the past year, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Intel said in the report it hired 43 percent more women and 31 percent more minorities in 2015 compared to the previous year to achieve 43.1-percent diverse hiring and exceed the goal of 40 percent.
Neil Green, a vice president at Intel, has said in an NPR report published Wednesday that the company’s challenge in retention, particularly for African-Americans, stems from a lack of casual relationships between the employee and senior leadership.
