New York-based cloud software provider Infor has agreed to purchase Intelligent InSites for an undisclosed sum to expand the former's suite of health care information technology offerings.
Infor said Monday it seeks to integrate the West Fargo, N.D.-based health IT company’s real-time location platform to the CloudSuite Healthcare platform designed to support operations such as clinical, emergency department, inpatient and procedural care.
Intelligent InSites’ RTLS technology uses location detection features to collect data from internet-of-things devices in real time and health IT systems such as electronic health records databases.
“This acquisition is a great fit for Infor given its focus on IoT and clinically-connected capabilities for health care without being tied to a specific RTLS hardware technology,” said Infor CEO Kevin Samuelson.
Infor added it aims to help customers accelerate patient response times, manage clinical environments and ensurie safety of staff backup using the platform.
Intelligent InSites previously provided its technology to Australian and U.S. clients, including the Department of Veterans Affairs.
