The Immigration and Customs Enforcement plans to launch a competition for a potential $100M contract to provide infrastructure hosting services in cloud environments run by Amazon Web Services and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT).
ICE is looking for a contractor that could provide access to Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program-certified infrastructure as a service, software as a service, platform as a service and other service offerings in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms, the agency said in a notice published on the Department of Homeland Security’s Acquisition Planning Forecast System.
“This requirement includes access to the AWS US East/West and AWS US GovCloud to continue to host existing ICE systems that are currently deployed in AWS and Microsoft Azure,” the agency said in the notice.
ICE plans to release a solicitation for the requirement in mid-January and award the contract during the third quarter of fiscal year 2021. The agency expects the contract to run through April 2026.
