The Winston Salem, North Carolina-based company will provide military personnel assistance services that comply with the Army’s Soldier for Life-Transition Assistance Program, the Veterans Opportunity to Work to Hire Heroes Act of 2011, Army Career Readiness standards and other related directives, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Horizon Strategies will oversee the pre-separation and initial counseling of transitioning service members, assist in their career skills program and help connect them with employers for open positions.
The Army received 24 bids for the firm-fixed-price contract and obligated $773,453 at the time of award.
Contract work will occur in Fort Knox, Kentucky, through July 3, 2026.
