Adriane Brown, formerly president and chief operating officer of Intellectual Ventures, has been elected to the board of directors of Raytheon (NYSE: RTN).
Thomas Kennedy, Raytheon chairman and CEO and a 2018 Wash100 recipient, said in a statement published Tuesday Browns insights and international experience across various industries would advance the companys growth efforts in global cybersecurity and defense markets.
Brown spent 10 years at Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and held senior leadership roles such as president and CEO of transportation systems and senior vice president of energy strategy.
She worked for two decades at Corning (NYSE: GLW), where she served as VP and general manager of the firms environmental products division.
Brown, a 34-year aerospace and technology industry veteran, also sits on the boards of eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY), Allergan (NYSE: AGN), Pacific Science Center and Jobs for America’s Graduates.
