Chad Boudreaux, corporate vice president of litigation and chief compliance officer at Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII), will assume new roles as executive VP and chief legal officer of the company beginning on April 1.
The more than two-decade legal professional will succeed Kellye Walker, who is due to step down by the end of the month after a six-year career at HII, the military shipbuilder said Tuesday.
In his new role, Boudreaux will report to CEO Mike Petters and oversee the company's law department and external counsel for compliance and business matters.
“Chad brings extensive legal experience and is very well versed in working with our many stakeholders to include our customers, shareholders, employees and HII’s board of directors,” said Petters, a former Wash100 awardee.
Boudreaux , who joined HII in 2014, previously worked as special counsel at Baker Botts and associate attorney at Germer, Gertz, Beaman & Brown.
His federal career included time as deputy chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security and senior counsel at the Department of Justice.
