TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 14, 2018 A Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) division has entered into a partnership with 3D Systems to jointly develop additive manufacturing technologies that could potentially support naval shipbuilding operations, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
HII said ThursdayNewport News Shipbuilding will help deploy the 3D printing approach with the U.S. Navy and utilize 3D Systems’ ProX DMP 320 metal additive manufacturing system as part of the shipbuilder’s Integrated Digital Shipbuilding initiative.
