SkyePoint said Tuesday Newlin will be responsible for analyzing targeted markets, evaluating expansion efforts and developing strategies to drive the company’s cybersecurity and information technology offerings in the federal contracting landscape.
Commenting on Newlin’s appointment, SkyePoint CEO and Founder Bo Kimbrough underscored the executive’s work focused on maximizing the company’s operational efficiencies and revenue performance during her first year.
“She is a proven business innovator and strategist, and Heather’s industry knowledge, expertise, and established relationships will greatly impact SkyePoint’s short and long-term federal contracting successes,” Kimbrough added.
Newlin’s career includes time serving as COO at Apogee Research and vice president and general manager at Jacobs (NYSE: J) and other government contracting companies. She was also CEO and founder of Transformative Partners.
“[I will] channel my energies toward leading SkyePoint’s strategic initiatives to become a $100 million cybersecurity and cloud solutions provider to the federal civilian and defense markets with a strengthened emphasis on national security,” said Newlin.
