He comes to HDT with more than 25 years of corporate growth strategy and business development experience, the company said Tuesday.
Cassella most recently held BD functions within the aviation segment of Amentum, which acquired DynCorp in 2020 and he joined after a more-than-eight-year career with the latter contractor. He started as a VP at DynCorp in 2013 and elevated to the chief growth officer role in 2019.
His military service included assignments as Defense Department spokesman and adviser to the chief of staff of the service branch, defense secretary and other high-ranking officials.
“As a senior retired Army officer and industry veteran, Jim brings the kind of leadership and experience needed to help HDT capture key programs and elevate our position in the markets we serve,” HDT President and CEO Juan Navarro said.
Cassella remarked that he was “especially excited to be joining HDT Global at a time when the company is poised for significant growth.”
