Hitachi Data Systems‘ federal business has entered into a definitive agreement to accept the transfer and control of some of Brocade Communications Systems‘ (Nasdaq: BRCD) federal service maintenance contracts and other cleared assets.
HDS Federal said Tuesday it will gain Brocade’s portfolio of U.S. federal data center networking, campus/edge networking and storage area networking service maintenance programs as well as cleared federal support personnel.
David Turner, HDS Federal president and CEO, said the upcoming transfer of assets works to deliver classified federal networking capabilities to drive the company’s efforts to advance public sector clients’ digital transformation initiatives.
The transaction is anticipated to close in line with Broadcom‘s (Nasdaq: AVGO) pending acquisition of Brocade, HDS Federal added.
