Hitachi Data Systems federal business has officially used Hitachi Vantara Federal as its new company name in an effort to advance the delivery of big data, analytics and internet of things platforms and services to government and commercial clients.
Hitachi Vantara Federal said Monday the rebrand seeks to reflect its parent companys new corporate identity under the name Hitachi Vantara in a move to combine the operations of HDS, Pentaho and Hitachi Insight Group.
Changing our name is another milestone in our business transformation, said David Turner, president and CEO of Hitachi Vantara Federal.
Turner, who joined the company in May, noted the new name seeks to leverage the Hitachi group of companies experience, development and innovation to provide data-driven platforms for federal agencies as well as represent the business history in data management, virtualization infrastructure and virtual storage platform.
Reston, Virginia-based Hitachi Vantara Federal will focus on bringing operational technology, analytics, cloud, content, infrastructure platforms and IT applications to the federal market.
