Los Angeles-based imaging technology firm Hawkeye Systems has agreed to purchase camera tech provider Radiant Images in a move to develop and offer artificial intelligence-based image analysis platforms and video technologies to clients.
Hawkeye said Wednesday it expects the transaction to be completed by the end of December and further support its effort to deliver Radiant Images™ virtual reality and other digital tech platforms to customers across military, law enforcement, health care, education, sports and entertainment sectors.
Michael Mansouri, co-founder of Radiant Images, will join Hawkeye as chief technology officer. Gianna Wolfe, co-founder of the camera tech firm, will continue serving in an operational role in Radiant, which will run as a subdivision of Hawkeye.

The proposed acquisition will provide Hawkeye access to Radiant Images™ Light Field, Volumetric and RGB camera systems designed to capture, process and analyze 360- and 180-degree images and videos in real time.
