TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 28, 2016 Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) will provide $27 million in maritime electronic warfare payloads as well as test and engineering services to the U.S. Navy in support of the Naval Research Laboratory’s Advanced Decoy Architecture Project, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Monday the NRL program works to develop an update to the Navy’s current decoy system called Nulka.
“Decoys are an essential layer of shipboard protection, often serving as the last line of electronic defense, ” noted Ed Zoiss, president of Harris’ electronic systems business.
