The General Services Administration has awarded a potential 10-year, $2.5B blanket purchase agreement to two teams led by Carahsoft Technology and Grant Thornton to update the government payroll, leave management and work schedule systems.
The NewPay BPA includes the delivery of software-as-a-service platforms and services to support the federal governments payroll modernization work that aligns with a cross agency priority objective in the Presidents Management Agenda, GSA said Thursday.
Carahsoft will work with Deloitte and Immix Technology to offer SAP and Kronos SaaS platforms.
Grant Thornton has teamed up with CGI Federal and The Arcanum Group to provide agencies access to Infor services.
GSA Administrator Emily Murphy said NewPay supports the administrations efforts to increase efficiency and focus on high-value work and seeks to help agencies upgrade their systems through SaaS adoption.
Suzette Kent, federal chief information officer, said the BPA marks a milestone in the governments shared services initiative as part of the management agenda.
The agency awarded the BPA four months after it issued a presolicitation for the SaaS procurement program.
