The General Services Administration has posted on FedBizOpps a single solicitation notice for a Multiple Award Schedule that consolidates 24 MAS contracts covering a wide variety of commercial products and services.
GSA said Tuesday it organized the consolidated Schedule by large category and subcategory and the agency incorporated a new format, terms and conditions and special item numbers into the MAS program.
This is an important first step toward our goal of simplifying the experience for customers, suppliers and GSAs acquisition workforce,” said Emily Murphy, administrator of GSA and a 2019 Wash100 Award winner.
The MAS Consolidation initiative is among the four cornerstones of the agency’s Federal Marketplace Strategy, which calls for changes meant to make it easier for government agencies and vendors to perform contracting transactions.
GSA does not expect the new solicitation to affect Schedule contract holders until the agency implements a mass modification effort in 2020.
