The proposed single-award, firm-fixed-price contract will require the vendor to provide management, consultants, supervision, labor, supplies and equipment to plan, build and coordinate construction activities while meeting the requirements of GSA and the Department of Homeland Security, according to a presolicitation notice published Jan. 31.
Contract work will include civil and site activities, substructure, core and shell, tenant fit-out and landscaping work.
GSA said a pre-proposal meeting will be performed and that the solicitation will close 45 days after the release of the request for proposals package.
The Washington Business Journal reported that the federal government’s omnibus budget for fiscal year 2023 appropriated $550 million in funds for “procurement, construction and improvements” related to CISA.
The government expects the proposed CISA building to be completed by 2026, according to the report.
