Paul Johnson, a retired U.S. Air Force major general, has joined Grant Thornton‘s public sector businessas a senior strategic adviser for the defense and intelligence community.
The 32-year military veteran will advise the company on security and defense business development and strategic matters, Grant Thornton said Friday.
Carlos Otal, national managing partner of Grant Thornton’s public sector, said Johnson brings leadership and expertise as the company aims to expand its support for national security programs at the Defense Department and the intelligence community.
Johnson previously served as the Air Force director for operational capability requirements; military representative of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman to NATO’s Military Committee; and commander for the 451st Air Expeditionary Wing and 355th Fighter Wing.
His military career also includes four combat tours and led the establishment of the first charter school within an Air Force base.
