Stephen Chipman, former CEO of Grant Thornton, has been appointed CEO of Boston-based global expansion services provider Radius.
Radius said Thursday Chipman will succeed Chris Stone, who will continue to serve as a member of the companys board of directors.
Stone said Chipman is expected to help Radius advance its growth plans through expansion of services, strategic acquisitions and implementation of the company services model.

He also served as CEO and senior vice chairman of Grant Thornton China Management Corp., and led the company’s U.S. business through services expansion and acquisitions.
