Ricci Mulligan, former acting principal deputy assistant secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ information and technology office, has joined Grant Thornton as a director within the public sector healthcare practice.
She has more than 37 years of federal civilian and military experience and will support the company’s work with government healthcare customers, Grant Thornton said Tuesday.
Her career at the VA has also included time as executive director of IT budget and finance and deputy chief financial officer for OI&T. Prior to the VA, she worked as assistant director in the resource management office at the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service.
The U.S. Army veteran most recently worked at Leidos‘ (NYSE: LDOS) health group as a senior technical director.
Ricci brings extensive experience in interoperability solutions, security, data analytics, information technology and program management in the healthcare industry to our team, said Sharif Ambrose, managing principal of Grant Thornton’s public sector healthcare practice.
Her background in electronic health records and other enterprise modernization initiatives will be critical to our continuing work and enablement of mission achievement with the VA. Ambrose added.
