Tim Hannon, formerly president of CIS Secure Computing, has joined Tech Data Corp. (Nasdaq: TECD) as vice president of public sector solutions at the global information technology distributor.
His responsibilities will include oversight of the Tech Data Government Solutions subsidiary and its work under the General Services Administration‘s IT Schedule 70 contract, the company said Tuesday.
The 35-year IT sales veteran will be based in Chantilly, Va., and report to Marty Bauerlein, senior VP of sales for the North American region.
Hannon spent 15 years at Cisco(Nasdaq: CSCO) in roles such as director for U.S. public sector partner sales and also worked at Ernst & Young, Hewlett-Packard and Ellucian, formerly Datatel.
