Salient CRGT, which now operates as part of GovernmentCIO, has handed over to the U.S. Air Force Academy a multidomain laboratory meant to support training of cadets and enable them to lead operations across land, maritime, air, space and cyberspace domains.
The laboratory has joint all-domain operations centers, remotely piloted aircraft flight rooms and flight bays to provide experiential learning to USAFA cadets, GovernmentCIO said Wednesday.
The two flight bays, for instance, have 12 immersive learning devices and flight simulators and six command and control, ISR and electronic warfare positions.
Salient CRGT worked with PLEXSYS Interface Products to deliver on the lab’s components.
John Anderson, president of the national security sector at GovernmentCIO, said the U.S. is preparing its future leaders to immediately decide and act across multiple domains and the laboratory will provide these leaders the support they need to win against future adversaries.
USAFA officially unveiled the lab on Sept. 17 and plans to integrate MDL into a live, virtual and constructive environment.
