Gerry Fasano Named Leidos Defense Group President; Roger Krone Quoted

Gerry Fasano, an executive vice president and chief of business development and strategy at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has been named president of the company™s defense group in a move that takes effect Oct. 1, Inside Defense reported Wednesday.

An internal memo obtained by the publication says the appointment is part of Leidos™ reorganization effort that seeks to restructure businesses into four groups: defense, civil, intelligence and health.

“In fact, the new configuration with four business groups allows us to more rapidly address opportunities that arise, Leidos CEO Roger Krone wrote in the memo.

Vicki Schmanske, formerly chief administrative officer, has been named head of the intelligence unit.

The report said Angie Heise and Jon Scholl will continue to lead the civil group and health business, respectively.

Fasano joined Leidos from Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), where he served as VP and general manager of the firm™s former information systems and global solutions business that merged with Leidos in 2016.

His 30-year career at Lockheed includes leadership roles in program execution and advanced technologies with oversight of the delivery of data analytics, enterprise information technology and operations and maintenance support services.
