Jeff Bohling, formerly vice president and general manager of General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business, has joined Vencore as senior VP and GM of the Chantilly, Virginia-based firm’s civilian and defense business group.
He will oversee the group’s business operations and expansion initiatives in the civilian and defense markets, Vencore said Thursday.
“With his combination of corporate development expertise and success leading large operations, Jeff will enable us to bring our cybersecurity, software development and mission systems engineering offerings to our defense and civilian customers,” said Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Vencore and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017.
Bohling previously held positions of increasing responsibility at healthcare information technology contractor Vangent prior to its acquisition by General Dynamics in 2011.
He managed the federal civilian sector of the GDIT business and served in a senior manager role at McLeod USA.
He is currently a fellow of the American Council for Technology and the Industry Advisory Council.
