A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit has secured a $111.9 million contract to provide general-purpose tritonal bomb hardware to the U.S. Army.
The military branch obligated the full contract amount to procure Mk-80 series bomb components from General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems , the Department of Defense said Friday.
Army Contracting Command received one bid for the firm-fixed-price contract via an online solicitation and expects the company to finish work on Dec. 30, 2022.
GD-OTS produces steel forged bomb bodies designed to comply with the DOD technical package and offers multiple configurations of the air-dropped weapon for military training and tactical applications.
