TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 24, 2019 General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) will utilize 3D printing in the production of metal parts for combat vehicles as part of a collaborative project with General Electric’s additive print services business, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
GE said Wednesday General Dynamics Land Systems awarded a contract to GE Additive for support in qualification, production, post-processing and inspection of those additively manufactured vehicle parts.
“Well continue teaming with leading suppliers such as GE Additive as we uncover additional applications for this exciting technology,” said Jason Deters, a specialist in process and technology development at General Dynamics.
