A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary has received a $115.3 million contract modification to perform additional lead yard services, development studies and design support for the U.S. Navy‘s Virginia-class attack submarines.
General Dynamics Electric Boat will maintain, update and support submarine design and data as well as provide all engineering services required for direct submarine maintenance and support under the modification, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
Work will occur in Groton, Connecticut and Newport and Quonset Point, Rhode Island through October 2017.
