TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 13, 2017 ” General Dynamics‘ mission systems subsidiary is now accepting orders from customers in the global defense, commercial and scientific sectors for its new Bluefin SandShark autonomous underwater vehicle via the company’s website, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday the AUV is designed to operate at speeds of up to five knots and dive down to 656 feet and includes system electronics that could connect to sensors and other mission payloads.
