General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology unit has received a $93.2 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to modernize a system used to manage the service branch’s personnel records.
The modification falls under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and includes upgrade work on the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System Enterprise Resource Program system, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
DoD added the IDIQ also contains system consolidation orders in support of the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System and personnel modernization programs.
The service branch issued the modification as a result of a justification and approval effort that would bring the contract’s potential value to $366 million.
The Navy officially awarded the contract to the former SRA International subsidiary of CSRA, which General Dynamics acquired in April.
Work will occur in New Orleans, La., through September 2020 and could extend through June 2021 if all increments are applied.
