Atkinson announced his new position in a LinkedIn post published Monday.
He joined the Reston, Virginia-based government contractor in March 2020 after a six-year tenure at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), where he served as assistant general counsel and director of corporate development.
Earlier in his career, Atkinson worked for law firms Greenberg Traurig and Drinker Biddle & Reath as a corporate associate.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University, a juris doctorate from Fordham University’s law school and an MBA degree from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
