TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 18, 2018 A business unit of General Atomics has conducted a demonstration of flight deck taxi and launch-and-recovery operations aboard an aircraft carrier using the Predator C Avenger unmanned aerial vehicle in support of the company’s bid on the U.S. Navy‘s MQ-25 Stingray carrier-based tanker drone program, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. used Predator C as surrogate for the proposed aerial refueling platform to demonstrate integration with flight deck operations using wands equipped with gesture-recognition technology, the company said Monday.
