TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 26, 2019 A General Atomics business unit will equip a future multimission remotely piloted aircraft with a detect-and-avoid system as part of efforts to secure airworthiness certifications, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Monday General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will provide the MQ-9B intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance RPA with a DAA system that features a Due Regard Radar, a Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast technology.
