The Department of Defense said Friday that under the IDIQ, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. was awarded an initial task order for program management support related to MQ-9 and MQ-1C Special Operations Forces-peculiar modifications in support of SOCOM.
Contract work will be conducted at GA-ASI’s Poway, California location, and will run through Aug. 16, 2029.
The award will be funded with the military’s operations and maintenance; procurement; and/or research, development and testing evaluation funds.
SOCOM serves as the contracting activity.
In December 2023, GA-ASI was awarded a $200 million SOCOM contract to integrate and test modified medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicles.
