General Electric (NYSE: GE) has received a potential 10-year, $438.6 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to provide workload augmentation and offload support for F-110 engine module supplies to help meet the U.S. Air Force’s requirements.
The Department of Defense said Friday the sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract has a base period of four years and four months and one option term of five years.
DLA Aviation will use defense appropriated funds and working capital funds from fiscal 2024 through fiscal 2028 to finance the contract and expects work to conclude on Sept. 30, 2028.
The GE Aerospace-built F110 engine is designed to power the Air Force’s F-15 and F-15EX Eagle II fighter jets. The new engine features a three-stage chord blisk fan and an advanced radial augmentor.
