The Department of Defense said Friday the award will extend the existing contract for the ground management and integration of the SDA’s layered network of military satellites called the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.
GDMS will continue to build, operate and maintain ground operations centers for the PWSA.
With the modification, the contract will increase from $396.2 to $887.8 million. Around $39.4 million from the fiscal 2024 research, development, test and evaluation funds will be obligated at the time of the award.
Work will be carried out in Huntsville, Alabama and Grand Folks, North Dakota. The project is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2029.
