Gary Newgaard, former vice president at data storage hardware and software developer Pure Storage, has joined Sumo Logic to serve as general manager of the cloud-based machine data analytics company’s public sector, G2Xchange FedCiv reported Tuesday.
He brings to his new role his decades-long experience in working at several government-focused information technology companies.
Newgaard spent nearly five years at Pure Storage as public sector VP. Prior to that, he held vice president roles at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) from 2015 to 2017 and PIXIA from 2013 to 2015.
His career also includes time serving at Isilon Systems, ASRC Federal, Peragon Systems and Intelligent Enterprise Solutions.
